Another very busy and productive week for our staff.  Here are just a few things that were accomplished this past week:
  1. Greens were vertical mowed and sand topdressed and are recovering nicely following spring aeration.
  2. Tees and fairways were also vertical mowed.
  3. Sod work was completed in several areas where plant materials were removed last fall including holes 10, 15, 17.
  4. The large mulch bed along the cart path on number one was removed and will be regrassed next week to alleviate mulch washing away during every rain event.
  5. Drainage work on 7 and nine tee was nearly completed.
  6. Overgrowth of invasive plant materials was removed surrounding 8 pond and will be treated to improve the aesthetics of the small wet land pond.
  7. Numerous other small projects were also completed including irrigation head leveling repair and leveling areas where stumps were removed last fall.
Check out our fairway verticuting process at http://youtu.be/itN7LdMGu_U.  Removing excess thatch through vertical mowing helps to promote healthy turf and firmer playing surfaces!

Bunkers will get a lot of attention this next week:
  1. Sand will be added.
  2. Drainage will be repaired where needed.
  3. Damaged grass faces will be repaired.
  4. Edging will be completed.
Hope everyone has a great weekend please take a moment to view our newly posted videos in the "How to" section.  Justin and I prepared our own video on the correct way to repair ball marks and replace divots.

See you all on the course!
