A very productive week for the course maintenance Staff!
Drainage improvements were completed on fairways seven and eight. Nine approach was also started and is 75% complete. Over 800 yards of tile were installed. Trenching was completed using a specialised tractor mounted that conveys soil spoils into a tender trailer. Trench are six inches wide and over 30 inches deep. Four inch perferated tile was installed on the bottom of trench. The tile was then back filled with pea rock and a sand cap of six inches. Sod that had been removed prior to trenching was then replace to complete the process.
We plan to continue with drainage improvements this fall and will begin irrigation improvements as well.
